Free Donation Center
It is our joy to offer a free shopping center for kids in foster care. We are located in Dormont and serve any foster or kinship families within driving distance. We have clothing, diapers, car seats, bedding, books, toys, toiletries, luggage, baby gear, cribs + more available for FREE! Please see address and hours of operation below.
Caregivers, please click below to reserve a shopping appointment. We are currently operating by appointment only due to high covid cases in our region. If you have experienced sickness or contact with a covid infected person, please contact us for no-contact pick up. Please note: if you receive an emergency placement and there are no shopping appointments available, please email us at center@fosterloveproject.org to see how we can help.
COVID-19 updates: We are working to comply with all state guidelines and ensuring that our center is receiving extra cleaning between guests.
Masks are required to enter the center (ages 3 & over). Please do not come if you are ill.

Location
We are located in the beautiful Dormont neighborhood with easy access from West Liberty Ave and Banksville Road. We are within a block of a T Stop and the bus line. Our address faces Espy Ave (as the address of the church where we rent our facility), but our doors face Potomac Ave. Hours and address are listed below. Please look for this sign and staircase when you come!
SHOP
We welcome foster and kinship families to bring their foster children to come shop for what they need at our donation center.
Requirements: Please bring custody papers with you each time you shop. If it is a brand new placement and papers have not come yet, an email from your case worker is sufficient. Kids who are reunifying with their parents are also able to come shop. We ask for the case worked to contact us in this situation.
Children over 6 need to be with you to shop at the donation center. Our mission is love and dignity for kids in foster care and part of that dignity is that they can pick out the clothing, styles and sizes that work best for them!
We encourage kids to pick 7-9 outfits, 2 pairs of shoes and a pack each of socks and underwear. We also have baby gear, sports equipment, toys, books, toiletries, diapers + more available as needed.
We allow kids to shop once a season for either spring/summer items or fall/winter. Diapers are given one time per placement.
Our sensory play room is currently closed.
