Serving children with dignity and LOVE
Foster Love Project began as a way to help provide dignity and care in the process for kids who experience foster care and to also provide support for kinship and foster families who are caring for the children making this transition. We work to encourage donations of new goods that will help kids who have to change their home with little to no warning, providing them with small comforts.
Since we’ve been founded, the Foster Love Project has distributed more than 20,000 bags across 4 states to help kids and families in need throughout the Pittsburgh region.
In addition to our FLP bags, we also provide programs to help empower and support the kids and families experiencing foster care or adoption.
It is our joy to offer a free shopping center for kids in foster or kinship care. We are located in Wilkinsburg and serve any foster or kinship families within driving distance. We have clothing, diapers, car seats, bedding, books, toys, toiletries, luggage, baby gear, cribs + more available for FREE! Please see address and hours of operation below.
As you choose your appointment time during the school year, please keep in mind that kids 6 & older need to be present to pick out the goods that appeal to them.

At Foster Love Project, we understand that children who have gone through the foster care or adoption process experience a level of trauma. To help foster/adoptive parents navigate this trauma and how it affects the way children experience the world, we have gathered resources to help you in this journey.
