Creating A Safe & Connected Space For Teens Who Have Experienced Foster Care Or Adoption
We invite teens, ages 12-18, to join us for our monthly meet-up group in the east side of Pittsburgh.
The Teen Connections Program has been developed to create a safe space for teens who have experienced foster care or adoption to have a connected space with other teens with shared life experiences. This includes topics such as experiencing loss, balancing having two families, transracial families, a sense of belonging, and experiencing trauma. Teens will also have the opportunity to connect with adult mentors who have also experienced foster care or adoption. Teen Connections meets monthly with a variety of fun activities, good food, and a range of topics designed to help them explore and communicate their experiences and emotions.
If you have a youth who would be interested in joining this program, please reach out to us here.
If you are an adult (21+) who has experienced foster care or adoption and would be interested in becoming a mentor, please reach out to us here.
