It is our joy to offer a free shopping center for kids in foster or kinship care. We are located in Wilkinsburg and serve any foster or kinship families within driving distance. We have clothing, diapers, car seats, bedding, books, toys, toiletries, luggage, baby gear, cribs + more available for FREE!
We welcome foster and kinship families to bring their foster children to come shop for what they need at our donation center.
As you choose your appointment time during the school year, please keep in mind that kids 6 & older need to be present to pick out the goods that appeal to them.
Please note our holiday closure dates. Families, please reach out to your case workers during this time if an emergency arises.
Holiday Closures:
November 27-30, 2024 (Thanksgiving)
December 23 – January 6th, 2025 (Christmas/NewYears)

The FLP Center is located in the east side of Pittsburgh at: 463 S. Trenton Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15221.
When facing the large white building, there is a gated entrance on the left side. Please park there and enter through the front doors on S. Trenton Ave. There is also street parking on Trenton Ave.
Please bring custody papers with you each time you shop. If it is a brand-new placement and papers have not come yet, an email from your case worker is sufficient. Kids who are reunifying with their parents are also able to come shop. We ask for the case worker to contact us in this situation.
Children over 6 need to be with you to shop at the donation center. Our mission is love and dignity for kids in foster care and part of that dignity is that they can pick out the clothing, styles and sizes that work best for them!
We encourage kids to pick several outfits, shoes, and a pack each of socks and underwear. We also have baby gear, toys, books, toiletries, diapers + more available as needed.
If you receive an emergency placement and there are no shopping appointments available, please click here to email us and see how we can help.

Our volunteers are a core part of loving our local foster youth. By dedicating your time to the Foster Love Project, you can help provide the support needed to help kids thrive!
We welcome families (children 16+), church groups, corporate groups, sports teams and more to help us sort donations, stock inventory, clean, and other miscellaneous tasks.
As a volunteer with Foster Love Project, your donation of time and labor will help make a major difference in the lives of children who are experiencing foster care.
At Foster Love Project, our volunteers are our most valuable asset, providing us with the assistance we need to ensure we reach the youth within the community and beyond that are in need of our services. No matter how much time you can give as a volunteer, every effort counts toward helping us achieve our mission of providing care and dignity to children experiencing foster care.
