The Mission

There are currently more than 15,000 kids in foster care in Pennsylvania. Every day children are transitioned into new homes with a few items thrown in a trash bag. Our FLP bags are given to every foster agency we can connect with who will share our vision in ensuring that kids are able to take a bag of new belongings with them when they change homes. So far, we’ve had the privilege of collecting and distributing more than 20,000 FLP  bags throughout 4 states. This holiday season, would you take the time to shop and pack for a bag of our requested items for a child in need?

Bag Drive Hours & Location

Please note hours and location for bag drop offs BEGINNING NOVEMBER 12, 2024

• 463 S Trenton Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15221
• Tuesdays, 3:30pm – 7:30pm
• Thursdays, 3:30pm – 7:30pm
• Saturdays, 9:30am – 11:30am

​Please drive around to the back of our building and follow signs to drop off bags.

Employee groups can sign up together for one of our Corporate Friday volunteer days. We can take groups of 5-15 people to assist with specific tasks and projects. Please reach out to us here to receive more details about signing up a group.

Love Through Lemonade

Are you a kid or do you know a kid who is looking for a way for help others in your community?

We invite you to host a lemonade stand and invite others to share their support for helping kids in foster care.

Print out this page and hang it on your lemonade stand. When people come to get lemonade, ask them to use their smartphone to scan the QR code and then they have the opportunity to donate directly to FLP.

Thanks, kids, for finding creative ways to help support kids who may be experiencing difficult life circumstances!

Host a Collection Drive

Are you looking to hold a collection drive for Foster Love Project?

Community fundraising is a fun way to make a meaningful donation and get others involved. You can provide love in action for youth impacted by transition.

Each year, Foster Love Project provides more than 250 holiday gifts to kids who are impacted by foster care and adoption.

You can donate as an individual or have your coworkers and community join in to provide children with a holiday gift of their choice.

FLP Bag Drive Bag Contents

Please note that we only give out bags that contain each required item. Please do not add optional items unless every required item is complete. We do ask that you do not include religious books or items that have monkeys on them. Please avoid shirts that say “I love mommy or daddy” as this can be confusing with the change in caregivers in their life.  Print your checklist here.
